Hi, I’m Lisa

Before I was even an adult I was deep into my jewellery apprenticeship, training under a master Jeweller of over 40 years’ experience. I was constantly in awe, creatively challenged, and found inspiration everywhere.

A few years after completing my training I travelled and worked in different workshops across the eastern states of Australia, honing my craft. I added a major chain manufacturing company to my resume, learning a different set of skills along the way. While it was a really interesting growth experience, it made me realise how much I enjoyed being able to create more unique pieces of jewellery versus the repetitive styles.

I moved to Port Lincoln, South Australia on a whim, responding to an advertisement for a jeweller in the paper; it was my best decision yet. Here I met my beautiful husband, and despite the whimsical traveller living deep inside of me, the coastline of the EP and my perfect job made it easy to stay.

Now, we make our move close to the beautiful Yorke Peninsula, and set among the Flinders Rangers, where I will dive headfirst into my lifelong dream of being an independent jeweller through Li Li Designs.  I have been creating high end jewellery for most of my career but have always been drawn to the more organic and raw beauty of uncut stones, and the statement piece they make as a jewel. A favoured technique of mine is crafting designs from a mixture of precious and semi-precious stones, set with an intentional, wild and unique, raw - yet refined - finish.
